Exodus to honour Anthony Mwamba with Lopez fight night

Exodus Boxing Promotions says it will continue and hold on the legacy of it’s late proprietor Anthony Mwamba .
And the Boxing stable says it will on June 10 host bout they are calling as Lopez Fight night involving three Zambian titles worth K500 000 promoted by renowned Boxing promoter Yona Tembo known as “Don King’’ .
Exodus Boxing Academy Director Christian Kalima says the Lopez Boxing tournament is in memory of the academy Anthony Mwamba whose famous killer punch was known as the Lopez Punch .
Kalima says they are carrying on with the vision of late Mwamba , and as such they will aim at remaining a top boxing promotion just as what the late promoter envisioned for.
The fight will host three Zambian titles that will see Catherine Mulyata take on Violet Phiri with Simon Chola fighting Benard Sepe and Donald Kampamba taking Anos Temfuna while there will also be other supporting bouts .
And Muchinga Ward Councillor Lee Mukupa says his his office will ensure that the fight gets all the support it needs because Exodus Stables is in their ward .
Mukupa said there is need to continue supporting more boxers and transforming junkies into responsible Athletes through such competitions .
Mukupa said sport such as Boxing is a platform that can be used as a tool to address the rampant cases of junkies and street kids by transforming them into athletes .
