Bus fares go up by 4.8 pc

BUS fares have been gone up following the increase in fuel prices which saw the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) adjust the pump price of petroleum products by K4, the highest single increment ever.

The Road Transport and Safety Agency yesterday adjusted upwards bus fares pursuant to section 107(11) of the Road Traffic Act number 11 of 2022 as amended by Act Number 8 of 2022, owing to the upward adjustment of pump prices of fuel by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB).
