THE Zambia Climate Change Network ZCCN has urged the Food Reserve Agency FRA to also consider purchasing local maize grain varieties and more produce to promote the cultivation of drought resistant crops.
ZCCN Executive Director, Monica Chundama says in view of the negative impact of climate change on food security, government needs to recognise agro-ecology agricultural practices and prioritize the promotion of drought-resilient crops such as millet and cassava among others. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
