Chamber of Mines fear permanent damages to mining equipment due to load shedding

MINERS are concerned that underground mine ventilation may suffer irreparable damages due to load shedding in the absence of proper protection.

The miners have, therefore, called on Zesco to prioritise the protection of underground mine ventilation, mine dewatering infrastructure and Copper Smelter furnace assets from irreparable damage associated with power outages at this time of load shedding. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
