Insomnia and lack of sleep linked to high blood pressure in teens

Teenagers who do not get the recommended amount of sleep may be at an increased risk for high blood pressure, according to preliminary research presented at the American Heart Association’s Epidemiology, Prevention, Lifestyle & Cardiometabolic Health Scientific Sessions 2025. The meeting is being held in New Orleans, March 6–9, 2025, and features the latest science on population-based health and wellness and implications for lifestyle.
