We need to record zero cholera cases, says HH

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says the government is committed to continue working with various stakeholders such as the Church to invest interventions to eradicate cholera in the country.

President Hichilema said the pandemic was deadly and it was prudent that lives were protected.

Speaking when he joined the Church at the dialogue prayer breakfast in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Hichilema said so far, many lives had been lost therefore there was need to ensure that actions were taken to record zero cases in the country.

He said working with the Church and other stakeholders was cardinal so that this burden the country was experiencing can be addressed.

Mr Hichilema appreciated stakeholders who had used their resources to ensure that the pandemic was fought.

He said there was need to ensure that the country reached at a stage where no live was lost.

He said the stakeholders needed to continue working hard so that in future the country does not record any cholera cases.
