COPPER Queens coach Bruce Mwape has named his final 23-member squad for the back-to-back Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier matches against Angola.
The Copper Queens who travelled to Luanda yesterday will face Angola in the first leg scheduled for this Wednesday before hosting the reverse fixture at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on December 5.
Mwape said the technical bench will do everything possible to ensure that the Copper Queens qualify for the WAFCON for a second consecutive period after competing and winning bronze at the previous edition.
“All we need is to qualify for the Africa Cup. It won’t look good if we fail to qualify after competing at the World Cup so we will make sure that the players work hard to achieve our goal,” Mwape said. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
