Gifted Kitwe-based gospel singer and songwriter Holy-Light has told the Daily Nation Lifestyle that visuals for his most anticipated song ‘Ever Need’ have officially been released.
The song which was produced at Climax studios in Kitwe and its visuals shot by Dee Productions is the singer’s first offer in 2023 and is already receiving massive support from some online platforms and local radio stations.
Born Johnson Matthews Simbeye, Holylight said ‘Ever Need’ talks about believing in God no matter the situations that comes.
“The pain, tribulations, humiliations, intimidations, and all those things that whisper in our ears reaching deep down our hearts and dragging us right back down till we have lost all belief. But then you just realized that Jesus is the only one who can turn things around for good because he is the author of life”
The singer who has been doing music since 2012 but became more committed to it in 2015 said he will continue to produce songs that will speak spiritual-maturity to society, and the music industry.
“This is definetly a song/video that will speak to people of all ages. This is something that will help boost self-confidence in the listener. Let me even take this opportunity and assure those who follow my musical journey that I will continue to do what I do best and that is to give them music that speaks on life issues. 2023 is my year as I already have a line up of projects that are set to make a positive mark in the music industry,” he said
And when asked what inspired the name ‘HolyLight’ he responded, “The book of Matthew 5:15-16 is what really inspired me to come up with this name where it says, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it. So it’s more like am set on a hill to shine but I need to be Holy as well so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ must be glorified”
