LUSAKA Polo and Hunt Club has taken PR Girl Media Limited to court over unpaid venue fees amounting to $5,000.
The club, represented by Chairperson Neils Bosjen, filed a statement of claim at the Lusaka High Court on April 8, 2025, against PR Girl Media Limited and its directors, Chishimba Nyambe and Monde Nyambe.
The dispute arose from a contractual agreement between the two parties, where Lusaka Polo and Hunt Club would hire out its premises to PR Girl Media Limited for events.
The club claimed that the company used its venue for the Men’s International Polo Tournament in 2023 without settling the full payment. In 2024, the defendants approached the club again to hire the polo fields for the Lusaka July event, held on September 29, 2024.
According to the statement of claim, the defendants proposed a payment plan to settle outstanding sums from 2023 and 202, with the first payment due before the event.
However, the club claimed that the defendants have ignored or neglected to pay the $5,000 owed.
The club alleged that this non-payment had caused them to suffer loss, inconvenience, and damage.
