A new drug could help lower persistent high blood pressure for up to six months following a single injection, a study suggests. If successful, the drug—zilebesiran—would provide a more convenient method for the management of high blood pressure, which is routinely treated through daily tablets. The work is published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
