NetOne Women Serve Special Meal to Children’s Hospital for Women’s Day

By GIDEON NYENDWA

A TEAM of women from NetOne Enterprise Technology on Saturday delivered a special meal to young patients at the Children’s Hospital in Lusaka as part of their Women’s Day commemoration.

The initiative is part of NetOne’s ongoing partnership with the hospital, where they have been providing meals every week since 2023.

For this special occasion, NetOne’s female employees personally visited the hospital, not only delivering nutritious meals but also serving the children and their mothers in the wards.

The initiative honors the legacy of Grace Nettikadan, the late mother of NetOne CEO Bejoy Nettikadan, who was deeply involved in charity work at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).

Following her passing on, NetOne launched a weekly meal program in December 2023, ensuring that children in the cancer ward received balanced and nourishing meals.

Speaking at the event, Children’s Hospital representative Dr. Thabo Nawa was grateful for NetOne’s generosity.

She highlighted how the company’s contributions have significantly improved the hospital’s nutrition services while easing financial constraints, allowing resources to be allocated to other critical healthcare needs.

Beyond financial support, Dr. Nawa praised the NetOne women for their hands-on involvement, emphasizing that their act of service demonstrated true compassion.

She encouraged other organizations to follow NetOne’s example in supporting children’s health and well-being.

NetOne, a proudly Zambian company, continues to transform the country’s tech landscape while making a lasting social impact, proving that businesses can drive both innovation and community development.
