FORMER Energy Regulation Board (ERB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Butler Sitali has been found with a case to answer in a matter he stands accused of engaging in corruption by offering bribes to a former office assistant at ERB between July 2011 and September 2014.

Researchers identify important new signaling molecule involved in vascular health

In the 25 years since the Nobel Prize was awarded for discovering the role that nitric oxide (NO) plays in the cardiovascular system, researchers have been racing to learn more about how this mysterious signaling molecule works to repair blood vessels damaged by a heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular event. Study shows mixing donor and recipient immune systems creates tolerance of transplanted kidneys

Successful kidney transplants rely on the biological compatibility of the donor and recipient but still require long-term use of drugs to tamp down the recipient’s immune system and prevent donor organ rejection. Finding a method to increase compatibility can help recipients tolerate a life-saving organ transplant without the lifelong need for anti-rejection medications.
