Gestational weight gain increased in Louisiana during the pandemic, reports research

Louisiana women who gave birth during the COVID-19 pandemic were 3% to 7% more likely to exceed the recommended weight gain levels than those who gave birth prior to the pandemic. Research from Pennington Biomedical Research Center and Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge showed that instances of non-optimal gestational weight gain, or GWG, were seen in more than 45% of pregnant women during the peak of the pandemic, whereas only 42% experienced non-optimal gain in the year preceding the pandemic.

Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

There have been newly invented artificial Intelligence Applications that are designed to write assignments for students on any many subjects .

NAQUEZ executive Director Aaron Chansa said the use of such tehniques will compromise the quality of graduates that Universities will be producing .

Mr Chansa however said if well utilized, artificial Intelligence has the potential to compliment education and this can only be done by upgrading of the curriculum to align it with modern technological advancements in the education sector.
