Whether you have a sports injury, repetitive strain injury or pain in the knee, cortisone preparations are often used to treat acute inflammations. The organisation’s founder Mr Evans Kazonga Ngoma said the Katete Fruit processing plant also needs to be revived together with the other two facilities or government should give a report on what is delaying production.

Mr Kazonga says the three facilities which are being monitored by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) are typical Zambians businesses that need liquidity to contribute to the economic welfare of the country.

Mr Ngoma says the current scenario where the three facilities are not operating do not sit well with enhancing local solutions to grow the economy.

Mr Ngoma has suggested that IDC uses other industries to feed into the three industries if running capital for the three facilities is the challenge stopping production.

He says the three industries can greatly contribute to the agriculture value chain and that the country needs them to be operational.

The findings suggest the use of gene therapies—an entirely new standard for treatment—for those with brain disorders like Hurler syndrome, which have a devastating impact on those affected.

AI to predict critical care for patients with COVID-19

As of June 2023, there have been over 760 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, with almost 7 million deaths worldwide. During the major COVID-19 outbreaks, hospitals often had their intensive care units (ICU) running at full capacity for providing invasive mechanical ventilation to patients who were diagnosed as positive for COVID-19. These ICUs often operated with insufficient staff and intubation equipment.
