RUSSIA TEMPORARILY BANS FUEL EXPORTS TO MOST COUNTRIES IN RESPONSE TO SHORTAGES

MOSCOW – Russia has temporarily banned exports of gasoline and diesel to all countries outside a circle of four ex-Soviet states with immediate effect in order to stabilise the domestic market, the government said on Thursday.

GOVERNMENT has commended the Patriotic Front (PF) for having set up solar milling plants across the country and Mtolo Phiri, the Minister of Agriculture has been directed to revive the idling milling plants in an effort to reduce the ever-rising mealie meal prices.

Tirzepatide more effective in blood sugar control and body weight loss than semaglutide, shows meta-analysis

A new meta-analysis combining 22 studies, to be presented at the Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Hamburg, Germany (2–6 October), shows that tirzepatide is superior to semaglutide for both control of blood sugar and in terms of amount of body weight lost by patients. The study is by Dr. Thomas Karagiannis, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, and colleagues.
